Tej…I Love You Review

Movie: Tej…I Love You

Rating: 2.25/5

Writing and Direction: Karunakaran

Behind the Screens:
After a very promising start, Sai Dharam Tej is in neck deep troubles now with back to back disasters. He has delivered five on a trot now and is teaming up with Karunakaran for a love story. Let us see if this film will strike a chord with the audience or not.
Storyline:
Tej (Sai Dharam Tej) gets separated from his family and lives with his relatives in Hyderabad. One day he happens to meet Nandini (Anupama Parameshwaran) and falls for her. But then an unexpected twist happens which force their love story into a logjam. Also, there are some other issues with Nandini’s past as well. Rest is all about how he solves all the problems and win her.
Star Shine:
Sai Dharam Tej tried his level best to get into the skin of the character and is mostly good. He appeared little plump in some places. Anupama is beautiful. The pair appeared good but the chemistry did not work out due to poorly written scenes. Viva Harsha and Prudhvi managed some laughs here and there. Aneesh Kurvilla, Jayaprakash, and Pavitra Lokesh are wasted in insignificant roles.
Technical:
Karunakaran came up with a Pale Story and also executed it equally bad. Even though the film has got a good cast, the pale story ensured that even they look hollow. Darling Swamy’s dialogues are okay here and there. Andrew’s camera work and Gopi Sunder’s music are good. Happy Family and Andhamaina Chandamama songs are well shot. Editing is disappointing. Production Values are good.
Analysis:
Karunakaran earlier used to be very natural with his love stories. That has become his USP with good dose of Feel, Entertainment, and family emotions. But then, there is nothing of such sort in this film. The first half is more of between Tej, his friends and family. The comedy attempted her is very much forced and very few worked. Even the scenes between the lead pair are boring. Even though the twist before the interval is good, it fizzes out in the second half. Every scene is boring and predictive. The Climax is further disappointing. Finally, Tej…I Love you is one more disappointment for Sai Dharam Tej.
