Half year completed in 2015 and analysts and movie lovers are looking for half yearly round-up.
Year started with Pawan Kalyan, Venkatesh entertainer ‘Gopala, Gopala’ and within two days Vikram-Shankar came with ‘I’. However with in two days interest on both the films faded and many started worrying about the year. But Kalyan Ram entertained all with ‘Pataas’ by making super hit and then Sundeep Kishen’s ‘Beeruva’ followed the suit.
NTR-Puri came with ‘Temper’ and they shook box- office. Later Sarvanand, Nitya Menon cast a magic spell with ‘Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju’. Naresh however failed to attract as ‘Bandipotu’.
Young hero Nikhil came with different entertainer ‘Surya vs Surya’. Nani too did the same with ‘Yevade Subrahmanyam’. However Sai Dharam Tej failed with ‘Rey’. Gopichand however showed his power with ‘Jil’.
Allu Arjun entertained with ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ along with Trivikram Srinivas was a super hit. He stole the hearts of family viewers. Ravi Babu however failed to scare his way to success with ‘Avunu 2’. Naga Chaitanya ‘Dochey’ failed to steal the hearts of movie lovers.
Balakrishna entertained as ‘Lion’ but failed to meet the soaring expectations after his hit ‘Legend’. Ram attracted wth ‘Pandaga Chesko’. Manchu Lakshmi’s ‘Dongaata’ too delighted viewers. ‘Dagudu Moota Dandakor’ failed to impress family viewers.
Sampoornesh attracted as ‘Singam 123’ and Nara Rohit came with different entertainer ‘Asura’. Dil Raju’s ‘Kerinta’ is attracting youth while Charmi-Puri’s ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ showed female power. Sudheer Babu, Nandita’s ‘Krishnamma Kalipindi Iddarini’ turned out to be a feel good entertainer. Month ended on a high note with ‘Jadugadu’ and ‘Tiger’ attracting masses while ‘where is Vidya Balan’ left everyone in laughter.
Overall 42 Telugu films, 16 dubbed films hit the screens and of that ‘S/O Satyamurthy’ entered into Rs.50crs club while ‘I’ became talk of the town. Tollywood got turnover of Rs 650crs in these six months.
