Movie: Touch Chesi Chudu
Director: Vikram Sirikonda
Behind the Screens:
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has made a comeback to the winning ways with his last film, Raja The Great. Even though the movie is an above average fare, it brought him a lot of respite from back to back flops. The actor is looking to continue with today’s release, Touch Chesi Choodu. Let us see how the movie has fared with the audience.
Karthikeya (Ravi Teja) is a family man and does everything and anything for them. He lives in Pondicherry with them and makes a living with an industry. His sister becomes an eyewitness to a murder committed by Irfan Lala (Freddie Daruwala). But then, when Irfan Lala comes before Karthikeya, Police Records say Karthikey has killed Irfan Lala much earlier. Karthikeya is a surprised man and is after Irfan Lal. What is the twist in the tale? What is Karthikeya’s Past? forms the rest of the story.
Ravi Teja will be seen in a role which has two shades. He portrayed the role of a Police Officer with ease. He excelled in comedy and action as always. Rashi Khanna is in the first half only and did some good Comedy. Seerat Kapoor has got no substance in her role. Murali Sharma is good as the DGP. The villain is weak in the story. Vennela Kishore, Satyam Rajesh, and Jeeva managed some laughs here and there. Others are okay.
The movie has got okay marks in Technical front. Debut Director Vikram Sirikonda only focused on portraying Ravi Teja as a Stylish Hero but the narration is disappointing. The story by Vakkantham Vamsi is outdated while the screenplay delivered by Deepak Raj is cliched. Chota K Naidu’s cinematography is good. Mani Sharma’s background score is good while the songs composed by Bollywood Composer Jam8 are disappointing. Dialogues by Srinivas Reddy, Ravi Reddy, and Mallu Keshav are average. Editing is disappointing and production values are okay.
Touch Chesi Chudu is planned as an Out and Out Mass Entertainer but then it is bogged down by a routine story, screenplay, and narration. The first half is funny and the interval bang is interesting. The second half is all about the flashback. The entire story is located in the second half and so there is no much scope for comedy. As a result, the audience feels bored. The scenes in which Ravi Teja is seen as the DGP and the scene of CM Rally are good. The climax again ends in regular format. Finally, Touch Chesi Choodu ends up as an average entertainer.
Touch Chesi Chudu is an average regular format touch.
