Venky’s flop film an inspiration for WFL?

Vijay Deverakonda's World Famous Lover is inspired from Venkatesh movie

Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘World Famous Lover’ first look has been released and is getting mixed responses from the trade and audience. The hangover of Arjun Reddy is too obvious and it is killing the buzz.

But here we aren’t just talking about the first look. We have got some exclusive news on the story of the film. Apparently, some of the sources close to the film reveal that the story of World Famous Lover has an uncanny resemblance to Victory Venkatesh’s 2001 flop movie Prematho Raa. In that film, Venkatesh portrayed a playboy character who wore his heart on his sleeve. But then he achieves sanity after falling in love with Simran’s character. The film was released immediately after the industry hit Kalisundam Raa which was from the same combination of Venkatesh, director Uday Shankar, and Simran.

The makers of World Famous Lover seem to have made some minor changes to the Venky’s film to suit Deverakonda’s image. Now, if this rumor is true or not can only be confirmed after the release of World Famous Lover. Bankrolled by Creative Commercials and directed by Kranthi Madhav, World Famous Lover stars Rashi Khanna, Aishwarya Rajesh, Catherine Tresa and Izabelle opposite Vijay Deverakonda.
