Arvind Swami, Simbu, Vijay Sethupathi and Arun Vijay were seen in the lead roles of Mani Ratnam’s multi-starrer film Chekka Chivantha Vaanam (Nawaab in Telugu) the last year. Now, the ace director is working on another Mega Project. He is trying to adapt Kalki’s Ponniyin Selvan for the silver screen.
The veteran filmmaker is again trying to rope in many leading stars for the film. Other than Vikram, the makers are in talks with Vijay Sethupathi, Simbu, Jayam Ravi and Vijay Deverakonda for the mega-budget film. Earlier Mani Ratnam wanted to make this Project with Vijay and Mahesh Babu but the project did not happen. Mani is now trying to get it back on track. Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai are being approached for important roles. Vijay recently let go a chance to foray in Bollywood as he was offered a little role in the film studded by Bollywood biggies. It has to be seen if he will agree with this project.
