Universal Hero Kamal Hassan has revived his much-delayed film, Vishwaroopam-2. The movie has completed its censor formalities way back in March and the Regional Censor Board in Chennai has awarded UA certificate with minor cuts. The makers are planning to release the film in June Last Week sources say. The official announcement is awaited. The makers will very soon begin their promotions with the release of the theatrical trailer.
Vishwaroopam-2 has completed most of its shoot couple of years ago and the leftover parts were completed recently. The movie release is put on hold as Aascar Ravichandran who holds the movie rights, plunged into deep financial crisis after the disastrous result of Shankar and Vikram’s I. Kamal moved on from the project and had three releases after that – Uttama Villain, Papanasanam, and Cheekati Rajyam. He also began the shooting of his other film, Sabash Naidu and stalled it due to an injury. Kamal Hassan brought back the film rights from him and is going to release the film himself.
Pooja Kumar, who was also seen in Kamal Hassan’s Uttama Villain, will be seen romancing the actor in the film. The film has an ensemble cast consisting veteran actors like Rahul Bose and Shekhar Kapoor. Bollywood music trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has composed music for the film.
