Mumbai: Bollywood witnessed the biggest hit of the year in the form of Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer War, which was released on Gandhi Jayanti. The film has grossed more than 300 crores at the Indian box office. The makers Yash Raj Films made a cool profit of 170 crores and Hrithik Roshan earned 100 crores as his remuneration. Yash Raj Films want to turn this into a franchise like their previous franchises, Dhoom and Tiger series. They want to continue making films in this series with War 2, War 3 and so on. Hrithik Roshan as Kabir will be the common factor in all the parts. After the phenomenal success of Baahubali and the moderate success of a badly made film like Saaho, Prabhas has developed into the biggest Pan-India star of the country right now. Yash Raj Films wants to cash in on the craze and cast Prabhas along with Hrithik in the next part of the War series.
Apparently, WAR didn’t do the expected business in the South mostly due to the Sye Raa wave. So the YRF team wants to capture this market too by casting the biggest name like Prabhas who can pull in tremendous crowds in all the four major industries in the south. There is no denying that Prabhas will bring a lot of hype and hoopla to the WAR franchise. If everything goes as per plans, then WAR 2 might go on floors by the end of 2020 or early 2021.
Prabhas right now wants to focus on Jaan with Pooja Hegde being directed by Jil Radha Krishna. After that, he is committed to doing a project with Geetha Govindam fame director Parasuram.
