Samantha has shot for her Rangasthalam in harsh conditions in rural area in Godavari delta last year and now she has gone there once again for the shoot of her maiden production venture, U-Turn. The actress who recently became Akkineni Samantha is currently shooting in Anaparthi, a village near Rajamahendravaram.
It is the remake of Kannada Super hit, U-Turn. It is a bilingual project being planned in Telugu and Tamil languages. Rahul Ravindran and Aadhi Pinisetty are playing key roles n the film. Director Pawan Kumar who directed the original version is going to direct this remake of Telugu and Tamil versions too. U-Turn is a mystery thriller that is liked for its unique storytelling all across the world. Rangasthalam is gearing up for release on 30th March. Besides this film, she also has Mahanati in which she plays a journalist. All the three releases will make it this year and it has to be seen if she is successful as Akkineni Samantha as well. If U-Turn happens to be a hit, her father-in-law, Nagarjuna is planning to handover her the production of small films on their Annapurna Studios Banner while he will continue to monitor the big budget films.
