Yesteryears Director Passed away.

K.B.Tilak is a great personality of tollywood who is responsible for the augmentation of Telugu Cinema around 1950s.This 84yeras old great director was died yesterday (September 24th) in KIMS Hospital, Hyderabad. Form the past few days he has been suffering from ill health and getting treated in KIMS. KB.Tilak’s adapted son Lokesh is living in America and he is on the way to India to perform his father’s funeral.

Apart from a great director, K.B.Tilak is also a great Freedom Fighter who participated in ’Quit India Movement’. He is an Indian Independence Activist, film director and producer.
Tilak directed and produced many films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Marathi languages. His films always highlight current problems in the society. Tilak introduced many artists and technicians to Telugu Cinema industry. Andhra Pradesh government recognized his service for tollywood and he was honored with “BN Reddy Award” in 2008. He gave his valuable service to publish a book called “Telugu Chalana Chitra Nirmathala Charithra”

KC.Shekar babu, Tammareddy Bharadwaj, and Suddala Ashok Teja went to KIMS Hospital to convey deep condolence to Tilak’s family members. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K.Rosayya expressed his deep condolence for Tilka’s death. ‘Tollywood Producers’ Association’ member T.Prasanna Kumar, story writer Tripuraneni Maharadhi and others expressed their deep condolence. team also expresses deep condolence towards KB Tilak’s death and we hope his soul rests in peace.
