Yet Another Postponement for Manikarnika

After bagging a blockbuster with his first historical film – Gautamiputra Satakarni, director Krish is handling yet another historical film, Manikarnika which will be an epic biographical drama about Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. Kangana Ranaut is playing the titular role in the film and the shooting of the movie has been completed in March. The movie which was supposed to release for Summer was later postponed to Independence Day Weekend. But now, Bollywood sources say the movie will not release even then. The VFX work has been delayed and Krish is not in a mood to compromise on the quality. Manikarnika may now hit the screens during January 2019.

A few pictures of Kangana revealed the regal look of Kangana from the film. There is no doubt the movie will get pan-India appeal once the first look is released. Baahubali fame Vijayendra Prasad has penned the script for the film and he insisted on having Krish in the project. The makers got him onboard since they liked his work in Gautamiputra Satakarni. The film will be dubbed into all Indian languages since it is a universal subject. Sources say that the war episodes will be the major highlight of the film and they will be shot on a scale that has not been seen before on Indian screens. A hit here will mean that Krish will become a national wide name.
